Sunday River, FOR REAL.

Went to the Riv with a great gang.  All peaks had at least SOME skiing open.  Stayed over in Gorham over a bar where a semiformal was going on.  That was loud but delightfully cheap.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving was a Loj weekend.  It rained like crazy all night Friday, as predicted.
Usual cast of miscreants went to the Loj.  Plans for canoeing came into place, with Echo pond selected for the change of scenery.

Surprise!  Tons of snow as soon as we hit Franconia Notch.

There was only one thing to do: Canoe down Cannon.

So We did.

It was awesome.

Then, we ate a pig at J Lo's Cousin's house.
Also awesome.

I've been working on another website.  www.tmcalums.org is the new home of the Tufts Mountain Club Alumni Association.  I know...right.  Totally amazing.

Skied the Riv.  1 Trail, T2, open off the Barker Triple.  Totally hilarious, but not tolerable for too long, due to mobs going to the little Terrain Park.  It's hard to get sanctimonious, though...teenagers may have shit for brains, but they have commitment.

In Memoriam

Abe Jellinek passed away on Monday in his sleep.  He was a wonderful friend.

If a sum of his parts, he'd be 4-Square.  Macs.  Wierd Music. Comedy.  Big Hair.

He was more than that though.  Genuinely kind and funny.  It's incredibly sad, and all of us will miss him dearly.
